Producer sorts folders and drive for delivering mix stems.

When you need stems

Send stems if you tracked at home, used another studio, or only want certain parts mixed. After band recording with us we can mix from the session — no re-export unless you work elsewhere.

Up to 48 tracks per song is included in €195 incl. VAT. More tracks or a full EP (€720 for four songs)? Request a quote via contact. Hourly mix in our control room is €89 incl. VAT if you prefer to listen together.

If you are unsure, add a short genre note and reference links; that helps us estimate whether vocals, drums or synths need extra care on the first pass.

Technical baseline: format and sync

Supply uncompressed WAV or AIFF, preferably 24-bit, 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz — one rate for the whole project. No MP3 or AAC as source; artifacts survive compression.

All stems must share exact length from sample zero, including leading silence if it was in the take. Export from the same start point (bar 1, beat 1) with the same tempo map. Include a rough mix mp3/wav as a balance reference.

Naming the engineer can parse

Use short, consistent names: SongTitle_Instrument_Detail.wav. Examples: NeonDrift_LeadVox.wav, NeonDrift_Drums_OverheadsL.wav. Avoid «Audio 1» or «Final FINAL 3».

One folder per song; zip or cloud link with a readable top-level name. Put BPM, key and time signature in a root README.txt. For bands, one feedback contact keeps decisions clear, as in our terms.

What to print and what to leave dry

Send dry stems without reverb or delay on sends unless the effect is part of the sound. Disable amp sim plugins on guitar/bass if you also provide DI — we prefer DI plus separate amp capture.

No limiter on individual stem buses. Leave headroom: peaks around −6 dBFS give room for EQ and compression. Do not strip clicks if it shortens the file — we can edit with full length kept.

Vocals and tuning

Deliver lead and backing separately; keep doubles on their own tracks. Commit Auto-Tune or Melodyne only if you want that sound locked — otherwise raw vocal plus a note in README.

If you just tracked vocals with us, we pull from the session — no stem export needed. For outside recordings, list mic and preamp if known; it helps EQ choices.

Delivery and archive

WeTransfer, Dropbox or Google Drive with guest download usually works. Keep links alive at least 2 days or renew them. Large projects: insured courier SSD to Van Ostadestraat 184, 1073 TS Amsterdam.

After the mix we keep work files for 24 months. Ask for stems back if you will master elsewhere; see loudness for streaming masters for export specs.

Label the package clearly with artist name and version (v1, v2) so we do not mix an older upload after your latest home edits.

Revisions and expectations

Included: 2 feedback rounds per song — use timestamps («1:42 — vocal slightly forward»). Major arrangement changes (new stems, new structure) are a new job.

Net per song is €161.16 excl. VAT; billing follows our privacy policy. B2B payment within 14 days.
