A compact recording studio at Van Ostadestraat 184, a short walk from De Pijp metro and Ceintuurbaan trams.
Built for playing together
Peonscale was founded in 2019 by Maarten de Vries. The aim: bands and artists can track live, overdub and make mix decisions without changing address. The engineer who quotes your session also runs the mics and faders.
We work by appointment during Mon–Fri 10–19, Sat 11–17 so each booking keeps the time on the schedule. Rates and booking: Services and Contact.
The rooms
Live room — 32 m²
Space for drums, bass and guitar amps and up to 6 musicians at once. Sight line to control through the glass.
Vocal booth — 9 m²
Isolated booth for vocals, rap, voice-over and podcast voices.
Control room
32 inputs, 12 preamps and 2 monitor pairs to judge mixes.
Workflow and delivery
We choose microphones for your voice or instrument rather than following fixed brand lists. Mix and mastering include 2 revision rounds; extras are agreed upfront.
Files ship as 24-bit WAV, 48 kHz by default unless your project needs otherwise. Archive period: 24 months — see FAQ on files.

Peonscale is in De Pijp, about a 6-minute walk from De Pijp metro station (M52). Trams 1, 3 and 7 serve Ceintuurbaan; from the Stadhouderskade stop it is roughly a 4-minute walk. On-street parking is limited; public transport or cycling works best.
